Am I seeing a different ad than you? Because there’s no tire squeal- in fact there’s no sound besides music, and t hey talk about IRS while the production Ridgeline is shown, not the Baja one.

It's right at the very start, but I think it’s part of the music, not tire squeal.

It’s part of the music and only vaguely sounds like tire squeal

There's a similar ad on instagram I see frequently where Honda uses an NSX (the original, how hilarious is that?) to try pushing Accord sales

listening to it on a computer produces a very different effect. on my phone it sounds like tire squeal. As for the rest...come on, really?!  oh course they never say the race truck doesn’t have IRS, but they want to make the connection between the race truck’s suspension and the production vehicles suspension which is a bit of a stretch when the marketing is that IRS is superior while showing a truck with a solid rear.

I think a company should pursue motorsports as a means to improve the product, I think they should try and tie that motorsports back to the product even if just visually and I think marketing departments should capitalize on motorsports investments.

This falls apart when you market anything about motorsports EXCEPT a commitment to racing brings improvement or general brand image. If your race vehicle is the product in name and likeness only you don’t get to market the production vehicle using race vehicle technology.

Camry did the same a year or two ago with the NASCAR version.
